After nearly two years of providing a platform for all the wonderful things Louisville has to offer, we’ve made a tough decision. As much as we love this project, we have decided it’s the right time to stop producing The Paper.
We will release our final issue at the beginning of August, rounding out our total production to 24 full issues.
The farewell issue of The Paper will be a “Love Letter to Louisville,” celebrating the creative spirit of our city which inspired us to start The Paper two years ago. It will be packed to the brim with all of the feature stories, interviews, photography, humor, advice, and comics you have come to expect from each issue of The Paper.
If you would like to be involved in the last issue, either with an advertisement or a story, please email us: holler@thelouisvillepaper.com.
You have all been a huge part of making this dream happen for us. Starting a completely independent local publication in 2011 was an ambitious (and possibly insane) endeavor and we could not have done it without you. We are incredibly proud of what we have offered Louisville for the last two years. It’s been a wild ride!
And don’t fret: The people who make The Paper happen aren’t going anywhere. Rest assured, you will see bigger and better things from these talented folks in the future.
See you in August,
The Paper
